"The food here is average, but the location and atmosphere make it worth your time. If it's a beautiful day and you want to eat outside near the water...this is your place. The coolest part to me was being able to see the big ships that come down the Neches River."

"2 o'clock, kind of slow. Ordered drinks and took a little bit, had to serve food to some one else, cool. Food was delicious, view was nice. Came time to leave and date went to truck and I waited....and waited. Finally tracked down someone to see about my check (FYI: la Quinta means check). Other than that, it was good food at decent price"

"I was bummed they made me remove the birthday balloons from my moms chair. Mostly it was the way the woman raised her voice from tables away, drawing the attention of every table around us on the patio. I was totally okay putting the balloons in the car but not okay with how we were spoken to. My suggestion for management: Every interaction should be done respectfully and with the thought of customer retention in the back of your mind. Have staff wait until they are at the table, do not raise your voice or draw unwanted attention from other tables and maybe say, “we do apologize but we don’t allow balloons”. If the interaction went like that, it would have made the small celebration great and not change the mood of our group and disrupt the tables around us. Our waiter noticed what happened and apologized profusely. He was excellent at defusing frustrations, funny and provided excellent service. If we were to visit again it would be solely because of how awesome he was."

"Very inviting, coastal atmosphere. Enticing deck that you can feel the breeze and watch ships and fishing boats pass by in the channel. Food was exceptional, served in a timely manner, and hot. Our waitress, Ashley, was very professional and attentive. This was our first time, but certainly not our last to this restaurant. Very fun, beachy vibe. There's an outdoor bar with a tiki/surf theme. As well an indoor bar. There is plenty of seating inside and out. There's a boardwalk in front of the restaurant, so you can take a stroll through the park after eating if you choose. The menu had a wide variety of reasonably priced items. Even kids' menus had a fair amount of choices. Our whole family enjoyed their food and experience. We will for sure be back."
