The Hut - Sulphur LA

"If you want a good spot for BBQ this is a great spot. If you want seafood drive up the road and hit up Boulet’s or Cody’s. Their crawfish and shrimp are just horrible. Tried the crawfish earlier in the year and it was way over salted and horrible. The manager was great and even refunded me. Figured I’d give them another shot and got their shrimp tonight. Absolutely bland as though it was cooked in straight water when the girl said they boil in crawfish seasoning. Shrimp were a nice size but had the texture of leather. Very tough to chew and obviously overcooked. Staff and management are great. Need great BBQ they got you covered. Wouldn’t waste money on the seafood as it doesn’t seem to be their strong menu item. Much better choices in town for that."

"The Hut? More like the gut, amirite? That’s what you’re gonna have after you eat here a few times. You’ll be back, the flavors are great. Awesome boudin and potato salad. Beans were a little on the sweet side for me but the service and daily special were so good it didn’t matter much. Definitely my new pit stop off the interstate."

"Customer service is always friendly. The food is delicious! I used to live in Texas, and hadn’t found a favorite place for BBQ until The Hut opened. Gave a lower rating on atmosphere, because there isn’t a place to sit inside. It’s pick-up only at drive thru or walk up to the window in front. Highly recommend their food!"

"The smoked turkey is my favorite and the banana pudding! There is so much more that is delicious. I have never had anything I didn't like. You're greeted by friendly and helpful staff either by drive thru or the walk up window. This isn't a dine in restaurant but they do have delivery service also."

"I had the brisket plate with green beans. The brisket and BBQ sauce were great. Great price for the amount of meat they gave me. The beans were a bit too salty for my personal preference but I don’t eat a lot of salt, so do with that what you will. Drive through was fast and my order was correct. Will definitely go back if I want bbq and I’m in the area."
