All of the staff is amazing. Excellent food and great atmosphere. We have tried everything on the menu, and I can honestly say I would recommend every dish and appetizer."

"Relaxed local atmosphere. We went for lunch after an adventurous morning. Great selection of plates to choose from with reasonable prices. I got the chicken fried steak with 2 sides. It was huge! Perfectly crispy and served with plenty of white gravy. My husband really enjoyed his fried catfish platter. We can't wait to bring the kids!"

"When at Lake Sam Rayburn, you can’t go wrong with a Kitchen Sink Burger, Cheese Curds or Chicken-Fried Steak at The Stump. The Cheese Curds were as good as some I’ve had in Madison, WI, cheese curd central for the United States."

"I have been a customer here for many years off and on. I don’t remember ever having a “bad”experience. My wife and I had dinner Saturday afternoon. Fried Mushrooms, Bacon Cheeseburger (Excellent) with Sweet Potato Fries, and a Taco Salad with 2 drinks for less than $35. We normally eat seafood and it is good. The salad bar is always delicious. Service was excellent. A little pricey but worth it if you are in the area."
