"We had never heard of this place until a couple of days ago when we were driving around. What a nice surprise when we ate there last night. The food is great. I got the ribeye and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My only suggestion would be to add a green vegetable like green beans to the menu (this is not a complaint). We will definitely come back"

"OK, so there are a couple of things I always look for in a country-style restaurant. First, are there lots of locals? Second, is there a sense of pride in the staff and in the food? And third, are the owners on hand and take and make the time to interact, seek feedback, etc. BOONDOX beautifully ticked all those boxes during Sunday lunch buffet yesterday. We played it shrewd - there was already a fair bit of hype from their Pizza Nights and Steak Nights, so we were cautiously optimistic. Zero issues locating the place, easy parking, and (because we played it smart) we got there just before noon, so were seated immediately. Ice teas were perfect half and half. I started out with salad and a kind of Cajun bisque that I've never experienced before, but was on point. My first full plate was a sampler of most of the buffet offerings, and I honestly devoured it before I thought to take a pic! I followed that one with a second go. Highlights for me were the chicken & dumplings, the sausage and cabbage, the sweet potatoes, and my fried pork chop. For dessert, my buddy chose the Kentucky pie, and I had the bread pudding, which was hands-down some of the best I've had anywhere in the world (and I've had a lot!) Service was great, and the atmosphere and decor were homey. Kudos to the Fuller family and staff, everyone was rocking it. We scooped up some scraps for the dogs in the truck, and then left to make room for others coming in. Just a fantastic experience, all the way around. We're definitely going to give Steak Night and the Pizza & Wings Night a go at some point soon."

"Stopped by Saturday night for some steaks. Could not have had better service from Alex. The two filets were cooked perfectly but the NY strip was probably the best strip I've had anywhere. All the sides were great, too. The only appetizer you need is the fried rolls. Will be back next time we are in East Texas."

"My husband and I came to Boondox Steakhouse for the first time tonight and everything was amazing! We were greeted by the friendliness waitstaff and owners who worked hard to provide a comfortable and relaxing dining experience. The ribeye steaks were cooked as ordered, tender and juicy! The flavor of the meat made our tongues dance with excitement. Let's not forget about the rolls and cinnamon butter. If you haven't had them yet please go and try them for yourself! They are warm sweet and melt in your mouth delicious. I cannot say enough about Boondox and would recommend it. The service, atmosphere and food is second to none."

"We came tonight and each got the 18oz ribeye and they were all cooked perfectly! They give you complimentary biscuits and cinnamon butter which is out of this world. I got a buttermilk pie to go and finished it on the way home it was SO GOOD. Also, the staff was superb. Can’t wait to be back"
