"I have ridden in countless saddles from roping saddles to English saddles and everything in between. Growing up I could not afford a new saddle and was under the assumption that a saddle is a saddle and that the horse and rider was the only factors in performance. I have been blessed to be able to treat myself to a birthday present and this year being a significant birthday, the half century mark, I decided to purchase a new saddle from the Martha Josey store. I had heard about the forward hung stirrups and the offset stirrups, but I thought to myself “How much difference could that make? I will never compete at the level these young people are able to accomplish. I mean, did I really want to spend that kind of money for a saddle when I will never be able to compete at that level?” So, after a great deal of consideration, I went out and did it. I drove two and a half hours one way to be able to sit in the available saddles to make sure this purchase was going to be a good fit for me. After playing musical saddles without the music, I chose the 14" Josey Cash You Are My Sunshine. The next day I anxiously saddled my horse with my gorgeous gift. I had never experienced cinching a double d ring before, but the helpful staff at the store took their time to explain how the system worked and so I saddled him up. As soon as I stepped up, I was in utter shock! All I could say is WOW, this is amazing! My comfort level rose from an extremely cautious rider to LET’S DO THIS! I felt so secure and balanced. The forward hung stirrups help hold you back and down into the seat. It is so comfortable that I was easily able to ride for over three hours without my knees and back hurting me at all. Typically, I can only take about an hour before I am in excruciating pain. I am looking forward to every chance I get to ride in this saddle and truly thank the wonderful team at the Josey Ranch for being so kind and patient in finding the most perfect saddle I have ever experienced in my entire life."

"My husband recently bought me a Josey-Mitchell Renegade saddle from the store and the ENTIRE STAFF was so very helpful. I was working with Tyler over the phone to arrange to try the saddle and we were coming in on a day he had off. He met us at the store. On his day off. WOW! With that being said; it’s nice to know they still value and hold high standards when it comes to customer service. I am hoping they get in a used renegade so I can buy one for my mare now.
