"Good collection of trails among the trees and creek. Unfortunately a lot of trash and abandoned campsites- primitive trails have way more trash. Turtles and waterfowl abundant along the creek. Can see Mt. Tahoma on a clear day. Free parking near the gate. Free dog bags and trashcan just inside fence near climbing rock."
"What a lovely trail so close to home. my daughter and I set out yesterday to explore new places and get out of the house. Not wanting to go far from home I was happy to find this spot. I was so surprised by the variety of things we saw while there. We waded in the Stream and saw freshwater clams and snails. At another location near the fish damn there were beautiful lily pads with flowers, dragonflies and pees pollinating flowers, Blackberry bushes and cherry trees. We ate some cherries they were tart but tasty. We took some of the primitive routes which are just a little more narrow and rocky- I would highly suggest taking the primitive trail to the heron overlook- it’s very pretty back there. The trails were nicely paved and wide. Such a beautiful variety of plants and flowers! The birds chirped and even though I could see houses just beyond the fence it felt like a little slice of heaven. Great for kids, pets, everyone actually!"
"nice, well worn, short trail through a scenic evergreen forest. 1/4 of the trail skirts a creek. Mostly level with gentle rolling terrain. You might run into 1 to 2 groups of dog walkers every lap, but it was mostly uncrowded on a weekend morning. Great for a 1 to 5 mile run, more than that might take too many laps and get boring."
"Nice stroll with my toddler! She always has fun when we come here. I grew up walking this park and now she is. All the seasons bring something new on the trails. The stream is pretty and the trails are awesome for short walks with the kids. Gets all the energy out while explore nature right in town."
