Reviews of Gog-le-hi-te Wetlands
"The wetlands located in the Port of Tacoma near Portland Ave & Lincoln is a Federal sanctuary for the indigenous species of birds and area wildlife. It offer wildlife enthusiest a great backdrop to observe, take photos and interact with the local & migratory animals. Located on the Puyallup River it is dichotomy from the industrial and commercial commerce that dominant the Port of Tacoma with it's man-made deep water ports."
"Beautiful place, but the gates are never open. So, you gotta park at a warehouse and hope an employee doesn't have your car towed. There's a serious trash problem and only 1 tiny trash can that's far smaller than a tire, which make up 60% of the litter. The other 20% is tissue and feces because there's no portapotty, 10% foilballs from junkies, which leaves consumer waste as the remaining 20% ya know, plastic wrappings, soda bottles and other things that are recycled everywhere except Tacoma."
"Great walking spot very quiet"
"It's a nice area to walk however trash and transients seem to frequent by the area. There are a few areas along the trail where you're able to rest and bird watch however a couple of these areas have been destroyed by mother nature and vandalism."
