"Sara did an amazing job with my dog Sunday. She was patient with her being a high energy puppy and took care of the grinch toes and mats that formed in her back leg fur. She even did her anal glands. Amazing service! Great price! I highly recommend her!!"
"We just moved here and needed a new groomer for our long hair dachshund. Josie (Punky Paws) did a great job, she did exactly what I asked for. My dog was still recognizable but won’t be getting my house soaked every time it rains now! She was very friendly as well! :)"
"My doodle got a great cut from Sarah!! I’ve been to a few different groomers now, never finding a place i’d like to return. I will definitely be returning to see Sarah again for our next appointment. Timely, fair prices, kind and clean atmosphere."
"I’d like to preface this with that I had taken my lab/husky mix here to see Miranda for nail trims and deshedding for years and always had a good experience. However, this last visit where we took my girlfriends shih tsu will guarantee I won’t be coming back. We brought Chewy in with some matting around his ears and I requested a puppy cut- short all over, including the ears and that we like his little round face. When I picked him up his cut on his face was extremely choppy and short, and his ears were still quite long. I ran into some traffic on my way to pick him up and was late so I was quite flustered. She told me at that time that he’d gotten a little squirmy and nervous at the end and that’s why his ears were still long. No problem. I left a generous tip because I felt bad for running late. When we got home he was extremely pouty and didn’t want to play or cuddle the way he normally does. My girlfriend and I made jokes about him being embarrassed about a bad haircut. But the next day we found out the real reason he was acting so off- Miranda had cut the skin on his neck with shears. I’m not talking a tiny nick. It’s a triangular flap that’s probably 1/2” deep- which on a small 10lb shih tsu is quite large. I immediately texted Miranda a picture and asked if she was aware she had cut him. She didn’t respond, so 12 hours later I sent another message asking some follow up questions if she had cleaned it, and why didnt she say anything at pick up. She finally called me, just to tell me how she didn’t cut him. She said there’s no way she would have missed it if she did. She said well he had a lot of matting around his collar so maybe it was that, but then she backtracked and said she doesn’t use shears anywhere except the face. She back tracked on what she had said at pickup about him getting squirmy and said he behaved perfectly and was totally happy the whole time. Then she offered that maybe he got into a tousle with another dog when she wasn’t looking. Or maybe there was something sharp laying around. Even if that’s what happened you would think I would have been offered an apology. But there was Zero accountability. Zero offer to make the situation right. Just a load of excuses and BS."
"Ambrose has been grooming my dog regularly for years, and I am always left astonished by the care, precision, and professionalism. In addition to their outstanding work, they provide my pup with friendly and caring service. I have considered many groomers in the Portland area for a little over a decade, and I highly recommend Good Companion for your pet grooming needs."
