Island Lake County Park

Island Lake County Park is a beautiful tourist attraction located at 1087 Northwest Island Lake Road in Poulsbo, Washington, United States. Managed by the Kitsap County Parks Department, this park offers quality-of-life enhancing opportunities through the management of natural areas and specialized facilities. The park remains partially closed until Phase 2 is complete, but visitors can still access the WDFW parking lot and trailhead.

In addition to the Point No Point Park project, the Stottlemeyer Trailhead Parking Lot is set to open in February at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park. This spacious parking lot offers convenience and accessibility for visitors looking to explore the hiking trails and nature paths in the park. The parking lot is designed with eco-friendly elements to promote sustainability and preserve the natural beauty of the park.

Visitors should be aware of periodic trail closures at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park due to Restorative Selective Forest Thinning operations. It is important to stay at least 300 feet away from active logging equipment and follow trail closure signs for safety.

The Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park Framework has been developed based on input from various stakeholders, including the public, tribes, and county officials. This framework outlines access points, trailheads, and recreational areas in the park, with a targeted completion date in December 2023.
