"Lacey is an indispensable friend to her clients and their pets! She has an especially intuitive and gentle way with dogs, and a deep understanding of what makes them tick. Her extensive experience with all types of dog behavior, and with smoothly running a service business, makes her an important part of her clients’ family lives. Absolutely recommend!!!"
""Dog walker" doesn't adequately describe Lacey's services. More than a fellow dog lover, Lacey is a true dog whisperer. Before Lacey, we were the exasperated owners of a traumatized, resource-guarding, mixed-breed rescue pup--a "composite," according to Mark Twain--named Ellie. Though we've owned three wonderful dogs previously, Lacey's insights into Ellie's unique canine psyche has helped us become better, happier owners. Lacey doesn't simply walk dogs for exercise and potty breaks. She mixes things up to draw out the best in our dog, captivating and channeling her intelligence, athleticism and hunting/tracking instincts to temper Ellie's deep-rooted fears and curb habits like digging. Lacey plans play dates to socialize Ellie with other dogs, people and places. Lacey has encyclopedic knowledge about dog breeds/temperments, life spans, equipment, food, treats, medications, toys, games and techniques/strategies to address problematic behaviors and ailments. And Lacey has an amazing network of fellow canine professionals ranging from area day care facilities to boarding kennels to vets to trainers to competitive course work. Throughout our journey together with Ellie, Lacey has dependably helped us to build trust with our beautiful, unfiltered hound and make her a happy part of our family. Lacey has been a godsend."
"Over the last 5 years, Lacey has become our Sophie's best friend and our friend too! She is professional, trustworthy, responsive, and gives so much love to our pup. Sophie literally smiles and wags at the sound of Lacey's car outside our home. They have explored so many neighborhoods, parks, and trails across South Seattle in rain and snow. Lacey has a natural ability to connect with dogs as Sophie instantly connected with her, despite being weary of most people. Lacey is not only caring and responsible but attentive to all of Sophie's quirks. We love the updates of our sassy girl with her pup friends and can't imagine not having her in Sophie's life. Your dog will be in the best hands with Lacey!"
"I became a Stroll Rover client in September 2014; 7.5 years of dog walks and innumerable days of ridiculous fun for my dog. It’s a long review, but the short: Stroll Rover is THE best dog walking service around, and there isn’t a close second. I chose Stroll Rover initially because she is professionally trained, licensed and insured. By the end of our first week of walks in 2014, I could tell my dog was in love with her and happier than he had been in daycare. We have done it all—solo walks, buddy walks and group walks. This allowed my dog to maintain good social skills with a variety of dogs, of different sizes and ages. There have been times when my dog was with Stroll Rover 4-5 days a week; if my dog had it his way, it would be every day. Lacey is organized, professional and communicates forward, so I always know the schedule for her visits and can confidently plan my work schedule. She also sends text updates and pictures from the walk session. Lacey is kind and generous to all—dogs AND humans. My dog has had knee surgery (2018) and then rehab (multiple times, including 2021), and Lacey adjusted my dogs walk schedule and activity level appropriate to his needs. **The most important part: I had always wondered and worried what Stroll Rover would do if “anything were to happen” to my dog while in her care. 6.5 years into this happy relationship, my dog (who has a history of knee problems) ruptured his CCL while out running with his Stroll Rover friends. Lacey handled the situation better than I could have imagined or hoped—certainly, in a more level headed manner than I did. Lacey was calm when she called me to tell me my dog developed a limp; she had done a quick assessment of his paws, etc., to try to determine the source of the problem and then gave me options on how to move forward (e.g. bring him home to me, meet me at the vet, etc.). She did all of this while also having 2 other dogs in her care. THIS is what I would want to know about any dog walker: how does the dog walker handle a health crisis, particularly if they have other dogs with them? Lacey handled it perfectly and ensured the well-being of the dogs in her care."
