"A really great dog park for water dogs. Plenty of space and lots of soft sand for them to run on. Water, poo bags and everything you need is available. You may want to check the tide as if it is very far out there is lots of stuff to see but the slippery rocks and sea-life can be dangerous or at least rough on their paws. If there's a lot of churn there will be a ton of kelp, but that doesn't usually bother my guy. To dry off there is plenty of space away from the water and even a little agility course with things to jump over or on, and a big concrete tube to explore. Very fun!"
"This is a nice large off leash dog park but be warned, there is no separations for small dogs and large dogs and though I am a firm believer that there are no bad dogs let's just say there are a lot of owners who visit this park that didn't do their jobs as dog owners of properly socializing their dogs when they were puppies. Also, apparently if nobody is watching you it's OK not to pick up after your dog! I stepped in one and my dog rolled around in another one. Nice. Oh and the park provides both pottie bags and waste cans to deposit in. Aside from those two things the park is great. Plenty of room for your pup to play run and swim. Yes, it has a very large water frontage. But, again keep in mind, you must watch your dog because there are some dogs that have been properly trained to misbehave."
"The dog park here is so fun! It was really cool having a place where my dogs could swim and explore the beach. The dog park area on the beach is fenced, but obviously the water is unfenced. The park is very rocky and sandy, so make sure you've got the right shoes (or go barefoot)."
"We love this dog beach! Our Frenchie Hank has so much fun here. It’s very well kept, plenty of room for dogs to run around, and of course swim (not that Hank can swim!) Generally we have only met wonderful dogs and people here too! Hank particularly likes it when the tide is out as then he has almost endless amount of space to run!! It’s a great place to spot wildlife too."
"We love this dog park: beautiful views, well maintained, mostly well behaved dogs and friendly people. My pups love splashing in the little waves. One thing to keep in mind is that more than a couple hours before and after high tide, the jetties/rock piles don't go all the way to the water, opening up to the larger park and with it the road and children, etc, to the right, and train tracks immediately to the left, so if you don't have great recall with your dog, it is essential to check the tides before you go down there or you will end up chasing them all over creation. And the trains do come by about every half hour, so it's definitely not safe over there for a dog that wanders. Some dogs are afraid of the train itself too, it's pretty loud, so if that's something that would freak your dog out, it's definitely something to keep in mind."
