"We have used Fred for the last couple of years due to a recommendation from a friend. My husband gave him all of our information in the early spring and Fred stated he was going to file an extension on our behalf. We called and called him to see where we were in the process and to make sure all was good. We left multiple messages with no replies. We finally called again and got his voicemail and it said that if we were a current client an extension would be filed on our behalf and he would be in contact with us soon. We just now received a bill from the IRS saying we had not filed our taxes or an extension and we now have huge penalties for not doing so. Errors and Ommissions will be contacted shortly and we are going to be holding him liable for failing to file our taxes. He definitely doesn’t have his client’s best interest I would definitely NEVER recommend him!"

"He was recommended to me when I purchased my business and did a bit of work for me. However, when I contacted him to finish my federal taxes - he had all the information and had agreed to do them - he ghosted me. I tried to get a response from Fred Axe via email and voice mail but he never returned my calls or emails. He must have a reason for this but I will never know what that is. I find this to be a cowardly way to do business. Anyone deserves as least a notification that a business will not serve them so they don't waste time and can find a new accountant immediately. As a businessperson, I always face up to my clients if there are issues and I expect that from those who serve me."
