"We lived here for a year before moving to a home. Overall, the experience was amazing. The place is beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The amenities are great. The pool, gym, playground, and spa are always clean. The community is always clean(minus the lazy people that don't pick up their own dog's poop). The apartments are also very nice on the inside. Granite showers and counters. Appliances are nice. The reason I docked one star is because the walls/floors are THIN. We unfortunately lived under "the thunder family," and we could hear everything they did. From using the bathroom to using the kitchen and everything in between. We chose the bottom floor because we have a dog and child. Mistake on our end. The office can only do so much as far as noise, and they did reach out when we initially complained. So, if you're sensitive to sounds, opt for the top floor, and you will absolutely love it. The covered parking is close. So, be wary if you have any disrespectful parking neighbors, they will hit your car. We did complain about the neighbors who were completely oblivious, and they took care of it right away. The move out process was very typical. We followed the move out checklist they provided to a T. We didn't have any issues. Overall, I would recommend this place over and over again 100%! Thank you, Svetlana, Barbara, Darryl, and Elizabeth, for all you do at PLAF."
"Excellent place to live, the pool, jacuzzi and the gym are always clean and ready to use. The neighbors are respectful and follow the rules. The staff that work in the offices are friendly and do a good job."
"We lived here for a year and a half, the community is amazing. Very quiet, clean, and safe. Amazing amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and gym. Helpful emails were sent out about updates within the community. Office staff were easy to reach and would answer any questions. Maintenance tickets were addressed within 24 hours."
"I really enjoyed staying at Port Landing. Svetlana was super helpful and straightforward with all questions I had. The move-out process was really simple and I ended up getting money back since my apartment had no damage. The community was really quiet, I always felt safe, and I never had anything break in my home. Only negative thing is that some residents can’t figure out how to recycle properly despite weekly reminders, so the recycling company sometimes will skip pick-up, which leaves the bin over-flowing. Besides that everything was great!"
"I had loved living there, loved the amenities, community and loved the move in process but the move OUT process is completely unfair and I told management I would write a review. I lived there for not even 10 months before they raised my rent. I was told that someone was waiting to move in after me, so I cleaned the apartment and got out a week before the end of the month to allow time for them. It took almost 3 weeks to provide a damage deposit invoice while I was out of the apartment 5 days before the end of the month and paid a full months rent with no pro-rate reimbursed. I was told that there was a $250 cleaning fee if I chose to move out without cleaning the apartment, but I deep cleaned it and wasn't even refunded half that amount. I was refunded $77 out of the $500 damage deposit. There were pictures from the walk through that showed dust above the very top of the refrigerator and hidden crevices in the door of the refrigerator that could simply be wiped with a clorox wipe and was missed because it is hidden. There was a residue in the bathroom tub that was caused from the previous tenant that had a tub mat that left a residue and I was on my hands and knees scrubbing it off, and it wouldn't budge. There was a picture of the kitchen sink provided as well which was again a residue from deep cleaning the freezer and dumping the ice in the sink, allowing it to melt and just needs a quick swipe. I was charged for cleaning the carpet and repainting the walls that I was told while signing the lease and doing the walk through that holes were allowed in the walls and normal wear and tear was accounted for because you would patch them up any ways. I was told they need to hire a professional cleaning service and didn't know the exact amount which is very fishy when people move in and out all the time. Not to be petty, but my doormat was stolen from my front door, all three smoke alarms went off 4 different occasions in the middle of the night and I had to repeatedly call maintenance out. They said batteries were low but it was a wiring issue as they found out after the 4th time. My car was also broken into, in my covered parking spot. Forget about xfinity, the cable box will not get good connection. I also paid a pet "fee" of $400 that is almost the same as the damage deposit for moving in entirely but none of that goes to pet damage which is very confusing. They seemed fishy toward the end and I had to keep checking in and emailing about the invoice as one day the scanner was broken, one day Svetlana was out sick but then the invoice was sent a couple hours later. Again, I loved my time here. I loved the pool, the gym, paying rent through the online portal, close commute to work & updated apartment, but the move out process was very stingy and I will no longer refer anyone here and just know if you move in, you will see none of your damage deposit refunded back."
