Reviews of Deception Pass State Park
"So lovely! The parking areas looked busy, but the trails were quiet and peaceful. Well maintained and well marked. I followed the All trails map on the Goose Lake Perimeter and Discovery Trails and it worked well. Beautiful views and amazing old growth forest. Highly recommend!"
"This park is a jewel of Washington. There is room to stretch your legs. There are paths to walk. Whether you decide to walk over the bridge or under the bridge. You can enjoy your walk on either side. The view from the bridge is astounding, and although it is next to a major traffic thoroughfare, it doesn't detract from the experience."
"Beautiful view! There is a hefty, steep trail to the bottom beach, but well worth the hike if you can handle the trek back up. There is also access to the Deception Pass bridge, which is a thrilling walk over."
"This was my first time going to this park. It was such a blast. Took less than a mile to get to the water. The hike down wasn’t too bad and lots to view on way down. Going back up is a bit steep. Once at bottom the beach is so beautiful. Can see eagles, pigeons, birds. Then the beautiful bridge you cross over to get too. The beach area is pretty small. I’m sure in the summer it’s more. Lots of drift wood, shells, sea life, just a beautiful peaceful place to see."
"This is my favorite place to be! It's a very large park that can, and typically does, get busy but is well worth a stop. The park is huge and offers so much, the parks website has a lot of information. My favorites are the beaches, camping and wildlife. Did I mention the park is big? I'm lucky to live nearby so my visits can be frequent to relax and reset. Lots of picture opportunities. I wish I could figure out how to load video's on my reviews."
