"The Tax Schack always has something new and improved, to make life easier! The portal was a terrific addition a few years ago to streamline communication and make getting tax documents to them sooo easy. This year, the addition of the personalized video, literally walking you through your return, was awesome! For those of us who only do a single return per year, learning what all those line items mean and how they impact ME personally, was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!"

"Unfortunately I had to change my review from 5 stars to this. Something has happened with this business over the last two years and I'm not sure what. Lack of communication, emails, phone calls and portal messages not answered and the few times I got someone on the phone, was told computer issues and should be done in two weeks. Heard this for several months. Most importantly, taxes turned in in Feb never done. I finally found a new accountant. When I went to get my file, the office staff couldn't locate it (even with a 4 days heads up phone call). Finally located it stuffed in an overhead credenza and hadn't been started. This was in August. New accountant had them done in two weeks. As a business owner, this is NOT ok. As a customer, this is not OK. Newer accountant has been rude if not hostile each and every encounter. After almost 20 years of excellent service, the last two have been not acceptable. I sincerely hope they figure it out."

"I want to give a shout out to the Tax Shack in Purdy. Especially to Tara. Not only does she help with my taxes and accounting, she has been available to help walk me through many things I need to attend to, but don’t understand. I am still learning. Sometimes I am just totally blown away by her patience and willingness to help. I can’t recommend them highly enough."

"I moved out of state during 2021, and they said they would still do my taxes. They didn't take calls or reply to emails. I finally mailed them anyway. 2 weeks later it came back "return to sender". This time someone answered and said I should have mailed to po box. No apologies and rude. I mailed them again as I'm new in town and it's getting down to the wire. The person I spoke with said they wouldn't do out taxes because I was rude. I explained I was just super stressed. I cried and begged. I don't believe I had been rude to begin with. I never raised my voice or used inappropriate language, etc. They left me emotionally wrecked. Fortunately, I have a friend in my new town who is an accountant and got me set up. I just want to warn people to watch out! Women from the Tax Shack are SPITEFUL. NOT professional."
