"In 2020-21, this place was absolutely magical. In 2024, it’s…pretty bad. It’s just not put together or well-run anymore. You wait hours for basic services. They don’t have enough basic supplies (think like room fans or extra blankets) for everyone. It -feels- like they’ve had a lot of, shall we say, deferred maintenance in their rooms. Staff act like they’re doing you a favor by doing their jobs about half the time. Personally, I’m done with the place. I may try again in another couple of years."
"The place was just ok. There are renovations happening so there wasn’t a restaurant to grab dinner other than an overpriced steakhouse. The breakfast spot (also overpriced) was inside some cavernous windowless conference room. There was no snow on the ground so the activities were limited to random things like axe throwing, archery which you pay extra for. The room was decent sized but the beds were not queen size but doubles. The views are great and maybe if you are into golf and pretend fancy this would be a good choice but we were disappointed and ended our trip early."
"I spent a weekend here in January to celebrate my birthday. I was blown away by how big the rooms were and how many amenities were available. We ate at the winery and stovehouse and had a great time there. When arriving back from dinner a pipe had burst at the lodge and the way the staff handled the situation could have been a lot better. It was 20 degrees outside and many guests were about to go to sleep. The fire alarm went off for almost and hour and staff didn't have anything to say when asked about when we could go back into the rooms or where to stand to be warm. There should be more training on how employees handle emergency situations and how to speak to guests. It felt like the main management team was off work when all hell broke loose. I was also disappointed in the tubing experience on the property. The staff could have done more to make the area safer for families. There were many collisions because no one was directing people. Overall the property was nice, but having more training in place for staff about guest safety and guest experience would have made this a 5 star experience for the price we spent."
"We stayed at the Two Bedroom Penthouse. All is great. Awesome amenities, very comfortable although there's two things that threw me off; 1. The vent from one of the rooms, which is above the door hits straight at the bed, when the Penthouse is all warm and cozy with the gas fire, the bed is freezing and you sleep with a constant wind hitting you. Not comfortable. 2. We order dinner from the restaurant to take to the room. Huge Tupperware containers that feel quite cheap, the food somehow didn't feel the same quality -or quantity- that you'd order from the restaurant. Felt a little disappointed on that. Everything else was great we had an awesome time."
"They say "you get what you pay for." And Suncadia dunks on that saying. We went in the off-season. It was the best decision we made for our tenth anniversary. For effectively half the cost of a trip to an equally amazing hotel and vacation spot, we get a quiet, natural beauty landscape to wake up to, fresh coffee the way my grandpa made it, and a friendly staff that seems genuinely interested in your comfort. Yes, dogs are allowed in certain rooms. Yes, they have a fully functional kitchen. Yes, the view is gorgeous. No, there is barely anything around. It is so good. So so good. I love it here"
