"Went in for tax prep. Sat with Karen for about 2 hours while I helped her understand Uber (my parttime gig). About 2 weeks later I called to see the status as it was about 4/5. They asked me a couple simple questions which I answered and Karen had suggested my refund would be about $600. 4 days later Lisa called me and told me I could come in, sign something and I'd be all finished. I came in and Doug was busy and Lisa asked me to sign something to confirm the tax prep and told me to bring in a check for $230. I asked why it changed and Lisa told me that it looked like they took my mileage instead of the over $9000 of car repairs Karen had entered before. So I asked why and Lisa told me that it would save me more in the future years as I Uber. I explained that I wouldn't be driving as much in 2017 as 2016 because my primary job was much more busy but it did not appear she was listening. Then she told me again "so this will be better for you in your 2017 tax return. Unless you drivefor Uber less in 2017." I said calmly, "I will be driving less in 2017. I just said that." Lisa became indignant and said "um excuse me, I don't need the attitude." I calmly said that I was just explaining that I wouldn't be driving as much this year. She told me that I could wait for Doug as he would explain why, but that I'd have to wait because he was with someone. Then when she went to get him she told me as if I was a child "but you need to drop the attitude." Shocked as I did not have any attitude and most people know me as a super chill person, I decided that this whole nightmare needed to end and that I was going to go somewhere else. Doug came out after a few minutes and apologized for Lisa's super rude behavior and explained that the two hours Karen took was just to make sure I was getting the proper deductions. Doug was very friendly and I calmly told him I appreciated his apology but I told him that I was not comfortable paying someone for something after getting treated like a child. He explained that it was a few days before tax day and Lisa was probably very stressed. I believe that was true but it was pretty much the worst belittling customer service I've ever received. I think Doug, Karen, and Lisa are probably wonderful at their jobs and most likely fantastic people but I think they and probably anyone who'd been through my experience would have to rate this a dismal 1 star. Especially as I had to walk out after what started off as a great day, turned sour based on this visit."
