"Be careful using this tax place. A tax preparer has always gone over my corporate taxes with me, they did not, even tho they said they would. Last year they charged $1395. This year the office person said my bill was $2700 but they gave me a $900 discount. When you have questions for them their Tax manager tells you he charges $200-300 an hour, refused to answer my question, then proceeded to say I just wasted 8 minutes of his time. He is very curt & most arrogant. Then my second complaint was they had our personal taxes for over a month & then because I questioned them about my corporate taxes they refused to do our personal taxes. They sent ALL OUR PERSONAL INFORMATOON BY MAIL back to us & refused to complete our personal taxes, most childish. They show no genuine care for their clients. I had the same tax preparer for 20 years whom retired who was kind & always answered my questions. I used this place Conover for 2 years & never experienced such rudeness. I do hope they do better! We found another CPA right away by referral & reading their reviews."

"Not a good experience, delays, bad communication, and charged us an additional $180 to answer a question about an IRS letter we received after they had prepared and filed the return. You can do a lot better."

"Last year my wife and I filed our taxes with Conover Tax. We will never use their services again. Their lack of organization and communication left a lot to be desired; however, what prompted this review was their utter negligence in handling our tax-related documents. Conover Tax mailed a folder with our W-2’s, our previous year’s tax returns, and our retirement account documents to another person! This stranger had access to our social security numbers and all the information they would have needed to steal our identities or mishandle our funds. Thankfully, this person was a good Samaritan who reached out to let me know about the mistake, so I was able to get our documents back. I called Conover Tax and left a voicemail over a week ago about this situation. I have not heard back from them. One would expect a tax service company to pride itself on attention to detail. After Conover Tax’s mishandling of our documents, I cannot trust them. If I were you, I would think twice before trusting them to file your taxes."
