"I went here around 1998. I still remember how much I loved this school. I have severe dyslexia and remember for the first time feeling like I fit in and could learn at my own pace and not feel stupid. In the morning all the classes would all meet together and sing- my favorite was singing “yellow submarine”. I remember they did some very fun arts and crafts- we made masks out of plaster. One time they brought a cows lungs into class and my teacher had tubes connected to it and blew air into it so we could see it fill. On free time we had a big Lego table. Reading time I didn’t feel stressed because other kids struggled like me! My parents drove 4 hours a day to have me go here and it was well worth it. So many good memories."

"I love the school so much, it has helped me improve my writing skills. The teachers here are great as well as the students, the teachers will encourage the students to do their best. Teachers really do enjoy being with the kids. They want to see the kids succeed, they want to get to know the students better, they want to figure out away to help them get through any struggles in their academic career's. There are so many school events that get the kids here involved in the learning and it's just really fun. The students here are really nice they work together to figure things out. Here at Hamlin Robinson they are taught to be respectful, positive to, and to persevere. As a student I can definitely say that this is an amazing school not just because of all of the events but because they make learning fun."
