"I am a student with Autism that has been attending at this school for 4 years now. The small class sizes and experienced teachers have helped me gain the self confidence and social awareness required to reach my goals. Another great this school provides is a safe environment in which bullies are not really an issue. The social connections with my peers, and lifelong skills I have developed will stay with me forever. Thank you, New Horizon! Addendum: it's been around 3 years since I graduated from new horizon school, and I've found that the attitude and skills I learned here have made me a competitive choice for employment. The fellow alumni I'm still in contact with usually find themselves with successful prospects in employment or higher education. With the autism spectrum, there are of course those students who will require lifelong care, but from NHS they have gained the confidence to self advocate and an understanding of government programs in place to help them."

"Currently, I am a junior at New Horizon School, and it is undoubtedly the best school I have been to. Everyone knows everyone here, which presents a very positive and reinforcing community. No one feels left out, because all events are for all students, not just a particular group of students. I have Schizoid Personality Disorder, Depression and PTSD, and this school was an incredible fit. I have been able to make more friends at NHS than I have at any other school I have been to. The teachers also are always willing to help, and they are very patient. I strongly recommend this school to any prospective parent of a child with learning differences. EDIT as of 10/25/2016: Now that I've long since graduated, I can tell you that yes, I was put up to writing the above review because I was Vice President of the school's ASB, and the entirety of the ASB was told to write glowing reviews. We really needed students at the time. Don't know if this place still is as desperate, but... yeah."

I have taken responsibility for my education and learned unique skills that will help me progress towards my future. The small class sizes really help me get the support I need to become a better student and become the person that I want to be. This school focuses on individual goals. Whether I want to go to a colledge or move directly into the work force or whatever I want to do after highschool, that is the goal they have for me."
