"We would of lost our kitty had it not been for Bellingham vet. He would have not have been here with us today. Since then we take both our puppies in, one being almost 3 yrs, as well. All 3 of our fur babies are in the best of health and they all enjoy every single person who works for and with Bellingham vet. We live in Sumas and go all the way into Bellingham (almost 25 miles one way), to see them. Just don't know what we would do without them and hope we never have too! Sincerely the Fox Family"
"Recently adopted a 4 year old stray cat from the Humane Society and was told that Bellingham Vet would offer a complimentary first time visit. I had concerns about his weight and that he had a really bad smelling breath. The veterinarian who saw out my cat barely looked at him. When I asked if he would get bigger (unsure if he’s still growing) he replied that he would get fatter. When I asked about his breath, he said it’s normal for cats to have stinky breath. We scheduled an appointment at the Chuckanut Feline Center, where they confirmed he has at least 1 rotten/infected tooth that needs to be extracted AND that he’s nearly overweight and we need to be cautious about his food intake. We also requested flea medicine for him from Bham Vet & were given the pill Capstar. He had a reaction to the pill which caused him to twitch, run around frantically, and pant like a dog. When we called Bham Vet for help the Vet was not in the clinic and the person answering the phone suggested we bring him in for a shot that would allegedly stop it. We had no trust in them and decided to watch and wait for the effects to go away. Thankfully he’s ok, but I will never be recommending or returning to or Bham Vet."
"Scheduled an appointment that I arrived early for (and also had to arrange to get off work early to make) and they can not honor that time. I was checked in and taken to a room promptly but then had to sit in there (with such a strong smell of bleach it was giving me a headache) for over 30 mins with no communication from the staff on what was going on so I left. I felt bad that my dog was getting tired and having to try and lay down on the nasty floor."
"I can not speak highly enough about this clinic. The staff is truly something special. I've used this vet for many years for a cat and a dog. They keep our pets healthy for a reasonable price and with extraordinary patience. They really care about the animals quality of life. When our tiny rescue kitten broke her leg we took her the the emergency clinic and they put a cast on her leg. It was too tight and caused long term damage to her leg. Bellingham veterinary made her comfortable and corrected any mistakes from the previous vet visit. They felt bad that we had to pay twice so they were very generous with our bill."
"Dr. Sullivan is absolutely the most competent AND compassionate veterinarian that I have ever taken my dogs to. His breadth of knowledge and expertise is beyond amazing. I feel so very fortunate to have found his practice. His employees are fantastic as well."
