"Their staff there always is willing to help. The amount of stress that taxes bring, H&R Block chops that right up and send me away with the reassurance that we all could use from time to time."

"Most of the time my experience has been pretty good. but this year there was a disconnect between the text alerts I got and what the office had with my appointment. When I missed the phone call confirmation they scheduled over my appointment and didn't tell me so when I arrived early for my time they were kind of rude about it, let us start our tax prep and then forced us out as soon as the other appointments showed up. We were able to reschedule later the same day but there was a lot of confusion with our preparer when continuing the process. This caused it to take a lot longer and made us worry that it was getting done correctly."

"I wish I could give 0 stars. I called with one simple question, and whoever answered the phone was incredibly unprofessional and rude. It started by her incredulously asking why I was trying to file an injured spouse form (because I need to to get my portion of our federal refund back, instead of it going to my husband's loans....if you prepare taxes for a living, you know that). I have scoured the internet trying to figure out who to allocate the child tax credit and standardized deduction to. I have filled out my taxes on my own, so yeah, I get that it is a business trying to make money but this was pretty much my last resort trying to get one simple question answered. She VERY rudely said, "I can't tell you that because I'm not filing your return." And she also asked me, "Well, who's kids are they??" Her tone was incredibly condescending and stand-offish the whole time. When I said mine and my husbands (who else??) she said, "Well, anyway...." and dismissively trailed off, refusing to continue the conversation. I was pretty shocked by the manner and tone, and lack of understanding of general tax concepts for A) is supposedly a tax expert and B) a business who wants to attract customers. Even if H&R block has a policy to refuse answering a single question without payment, this branch could at least speak with common courtesy."
