"Took my new cats here and I mentioned concerns (heart murmur update, sound of my cats lungs) to the vet and then she never told me what she thought after looking over them, I had to ask. She told me my cat’s heart murmur was no longer detected, but on the after care summary they wrote that there is a heart murmur which impacts my pet insurance. She also told me my cat was about 15lbs but on the after care summary wrote 17lbs, which is confusing. Vet tech and front desk were kind."
"I've had countless great experiences with different vets while taking my cat here for the past 5 years. We started with the kitten careclub and then have kept the cat careclub since. They're very nice and thorough, and one time they even stayed open slightly late so I could rush my cat there after he had eaten a bunch of tulips so I could avoid needing to go to the emergency vet. I highly recommend taking your animal here."
"OOF! I’ve had great experiences with other VCA hospitals but this location was such a let down. First off, the prices are super inflated. While other vets charge $50-$75 for an exam, this location charges $120 for the exam fee alone. I took my two healthy, middle aged cats in for their annual wellness check and vaccines, and the total was a whopping $600 at checkout. I was actually speechless. I then received an estimate of $1600-$2200 for one of my cats to have one tooth pulled. I easily found another local clinic that estimated the cost of the surgery for around $700. Then there’s the general lack of friendly service. The receptionist was cold and unwelcoming when I arrived and when I checked out, and had zero understanding or compassion when I was shocked at the bill. The vet seemed pretty disinterested in me and my animals as well. Honestly, the kind vet tech was the only positive part of my experience here."
"We took our dog here for the first time since moving to the neighborhood. The receptionists, techs and doctor were all very friendly and professional and provided a very thorough wellness exam along with a thoughtful new client goodie bag. The services, convenience, and clean, well-maintained facility make up for the high costs (which are understandable considering the neighborhood and the clinic being a VCA). We also appreciated the staff taking the time to provide an itemized estimate as budgeting vet expenses over the year is a must for us. Overall, a great experience from start to finish."
"I thought I already left a review of VCA Magnolia months ago but it appears I have not. My pup, Ajax, has been visiting VCA Magnolia for about 2 years now and we have been so pleased with the service. Through the worst of times (a mast cell tumor removal and extensive dental procedure... during a pandemic no less!), they have been so communicative and thoughtful in explaining what's going on. After a rough year, my dog is thriving again and loves when we stop by VCA to get his meds – he loves his human friends there!"
