"The staff did not communicate with us during our dogs emergency. I waited outside their clinic for 3 hours and never got an update about my dog. Then suddenly it's time to pick her up- no discussion about what treatments have been done and what the next steps are. They just gave me her meds. Less than 12 hrs later she's dead. And of course- staff still don't answer the phone."
"Last October, I made the decision to have my beloved dog undergo a routine spaying surgery at Greenwood Veterinary Hospital, a choice I deeply regret. Contrary to my expectations for a simple and common procedure, the experience turned into a nightmare due to the apparent lack of experience from the staff. The day after the surgery, my dog started showing alarming signs of bleeding. I reached out to the doctor, providing video and photo evidence, and was assured three times that this was a normal post-operative reaction. However, the situation quickly deteriorated, and by the third day, my dog was visibly unwell. An emergency visit to another clinic revealed she was suffering from kidney failure due to a botched surgery. It was discovered that the previous surgeon had mistakenly tied off a major vein and failed to properly suture the wound, leading to severe bleeding. Shockingly, there was no acknowledgment of the mistake, let alone an apology. Instead, the blame was placed on my dog's supposed abnormal vein structure, with claims that such an incident could have happened to any surgeon—a statement I find hard to believe and completely unacceptable. Our dog's life was saved through emergency surgery and dialysis, but at the cost of nearly all our savings. When we sought compensation for the grave error, we were accused of making threats. I have kept all email communications as proof of this horrific ordeal. I strongly advise against entrusting the care of your beloved pets to Greenwood Veterinary Hospital. Our experience was not just disappointing but truly horrifying, highlighting a lack of accountability and professionalism that no pet owner should ever have to face."
"This vet was the only place we could find that had x-ray/ultrasound on labor day. They got our dog in for a very emergent issue immediately. The doctor recommended x-rays but did an ultrasound for his own reassurance and said he would not charge us. He found a large mass on my dogs spleen unrelated to our visit and saved her life because of the chance that this mass would rupture . So incredibly thankful and I cannot recommend them enough. We worked with both doctors and they were very thorough and explained both issues so we understood what was happening."
"When my dog Bogie was getting older he started to have a lot of different problems, tumors, infection, allergic reaction to a spider bite, loss of appetite, kidney problems. Throughout the 8+ years I took Bogie there, the team was always extremely kind and generous with their time in making room to see Bogie when he really needed it. I can’t say enough about how Dr Raj and the rest of the team there not only treated me but most importantly how they treated Bogie when he was in his final days. Thank you for everything."
"I've been to several vets in Seattle and consider Greenwood the best in being professional and compassionate. The vets and staff are very professional and attentive. They take the time to listen to my concerns and explain the treatment options in details. More importantly, they really care about my cats and me. Last year I was completely devastated when my 13-year-old cat BunBun was diagnosed with stage-4 CKD and had days to live. Greenwood hospital staff were super kind to answer my endless questions (even responded to my emails over the weekend!) and accommodate my urgent appointment requests. They also gave my BunBun excellent treatment including both conventional medicine (e.g. Epogen for anemia) and supplement (e.g. Porus One, Azodyl, and Epakitin). 6 months later, my BunBun is happily alive and shows no signs of slow-down whatsoever. I tribute this miracle to the wonderful staff at Greenwood Animal Hospital."
