"I felt baited in by the $26 exam fee, but when my cat was diagnosed with an abscess, I was told the cost for draining etc, was $460ish, and I'm on disability. I finally accepted the high cost, but was then informed of the additional costs, for sedation, injections for pain medication, antibiotics, anti inflammatory, oral antibiotics and pain meds for home, etc etc. this was a rescue and a 8mo old kitten who I'd had for less than a week. I had to turn down a couple of things but I still paid over $800, everything I had in savings. I've since learned that a majority of vets will spay or neuter an animal free of charge, and friends are appalled that this vet didn't even mention it could've been done, while he was already under anesthesia. she did an ok job with the abcess, but I overheard another client speak of how much more the final bill was than what they agreed on. so I think this happens frequently and I'm currently in search for a new vet with transparent business practices."

Unfortunately, it was delayed by a few days which made me have to get a new USDA health certificate for my cat (it can only be eligible for 10 days). Dr. Sidhu was able to get me a new certificate within 24 hours!! She was very knowledgable about my situation AND was able to get the USDA approval by the time I needed to fly to Japan.
