"I highly recommend you go elsewhere only because I wouldn't want this to happen to other pets. I hate leaving bad reviews but when it comes to my dog (my kid) that can't speak for itself, I have to say something. This happened back in April 2023, my dog was having issues that unfortunately my regular vet couldn't help with so I went to Animal Eye because they could see my dog the soonest. They diagnosed him, stated he needed surgery, and did the surgery. I will say they did find he had high blood pressure on the day of the surgery. At pick up I was told everything looks good, that his eyesight should slowly come back. I went back a couple more times being told the same thing; good progress but no clue why his eyesight wasn't coming back. When I did talk to the Dr. it seemed almost as if he didn't know what was really going on which delayed quite a few things with my dogs recovery. His eyes started to fill with fluid, I sent pictures and was told this was normal. Since I work in the Veterinary industry, I asked other Drs for their opinions and they were concerned with the instructions/advice I was given. The fluid wasn't going away and my poor dogs eye started to swell and every time I tried to get ahold of anyone I couldn't get anyone; via text or on the phone, even the after hours phone line was useless. It was 2 months before I heard from the Dr and by then I had already gone to another specialist where it was confirmed that his eyes would need to go because he had glaucoma. Unfortunately, my poor dog lost both his eyes :/ and I will never recommend them to anyone."
"Dr. Sullivan is the vet that cares for his patients so much that he squeezes them in during that last minute emergency. He is so kind, thoughtful and detail oriented. He takes the time to explain veterniary medicine in layman's terms. Our kitten punctured his eye and the vet we usually see happened to have his personal cell phone to send the picture of the very unusual eye. (We did not know at the time that his eye was hurt due to a puncture as he is an indoor cat). Dr. Sullivan squeezed us in during the busy holiday season amid moving his office, having staff out sick, and he just made it happen. Our kitten did have to get his eye removed, but Dr. Sullivan gave us expectations for what to expect from surgery, how to administer medicines, and that our kitten would be able to experience a normal happy life. He had very careful stitches and other than the first day home seemed to experience very little pain. We did have pain medicines on hand and will go back for a check up in 2 weeks, but surgery site is healing beautifully and our playful orange kitten is back to chasing his sister around the house. All of the vet techs were very kind and are probably to thank just as much as Dr. Sullivan. I know they were also working long hours to fit in those extra patients around the holidays but everyone of them gave our kitten all the love, all the pets, all the checks, and responded to our messages. We did have to wait a long time in the parking lot for our emergency consult, but when you are squeezed into a medical specialist last minute when others turn you away that is sometimes what happens. If you are looking for an animal vision specialist, I could not recommend Dr. Sullivan and his wonderful team of vet techs more. They do take on that one extra patient and sometimes are a little busy, but if you want to make sure your pet is in the best hands this is the place for you."
"These guys are phenomenal! My dog had previously had a surgery done on his eye, but we needed a repeat as the original procedure didn't last. The doctors at Animal Eye Clinic were excellent and my dog has been super happy ever since!"
"I felt very relieved in finding a great eye Dr for my special little Tulip The Tornado. She had bleeding in her eye. The good news is with drops and time, it should resolve itself, snd nothing too serious. Service is drop-off curbside, which I don't have an issue with. I trust knowing my pup is in very good hands. Excellent after care instruction & experience!"
"They were absolutely wonderful from the staff to Dr. Sullivan! It is curbside right now and they even took Betsey in with her favorite blanket so she would feel comfortable. After the exam Dr. Sullivan called me and and explained everything in detail to me and was so kind. I always have anxiety leaving my baby with someone but they made me feel so comfortable. Thank you."
