"Doc knows bikes. AND, he does a lot to help riders on their rides. I first met him at the Port Townsend Lite Bike Tour (put on by the Cascade Bike Club) where he fixed emergency bike repairs. After that three day bike tour was over, he assisted our "bikepacking" tour on the Olympic Discovery Trail" from Port Angeles to Sol Duc and Forks. He was warm, instructive, helpful, and a great help to us; we couldn't have done it without him. If I lived in the area, I wouldn't take my bike anywhere else -- just Doc's."

"I had issues with my electronic shifters just before a long ride. Doc graciously offered to loan me one of his bikes so that I could complete the ride, and even though he had a busy schedule, he took the time to look at my shifters. He found a loose connection and repaired it, but when the shifters still didn't work the way they were supposed to, he didn't charge me. I took the bike home and charged the shifter batteries (they had been charged just a few days prior, but electronics being what they are... /shrug), and the next day the shifters sounded good and worked precisely. I rode the bike for over 40 miles and the shifters gave me no problems. Doc is a wizard. Because this was a group ride, I overheard him help other people and he clearly has a deep understanding of a variety of bikes. He explains things in a way that a anyone can understand what's going on, and he's here to help make people happy with their bikes."
