Reviews of Tacoma Cat Hospital
"Very knowledgeable, kind doctor, decent prices. Took my cat in and they knew exactly what to do. Gave me a few options depending on what my budget was and I never felt pressured or judged. They took such good care of my little guy!"
"This is the kindest most wonderful vet office anywhere. Great staff, awesome doctor, and prices that are so affordable it has been a blessing. I will never go anywhere else. They've seen us for 8 kitties now. From kitten stages, multiple health issues, all the way to help with saying goodbye. Would give them 10 stars."
"We are done with this vet. We brought one of our cats here to get spayed, she came home sick and sneezing. We eventually contacted the vet but the lady at the counter kept saying it was nothing and our cat is just having a harder time recovering. I pointed out it has been over 72 hours and it most likely is the feline lung infection, she said it couldn’t be that at all. Well guess what by the time she finally listened she said just bring her in tomorrow with no appointment. My mum knows the vet and that he won’t see walk ins and everyone needs an appointment so she was upset, and due to work we couldn’t get there that day, this was the part Thursday. Well that cat spread the sickness around and got all our other cats sick, including our 13 year old cat with asthma. Something my mum was worried about and kept telling her. Well he couldn’t breath and passed on Christmas Eve. Thanks for that wonderful Christmas present. We are so happy for our Christmas to be filled with the happiness of burying our baby boy. He was perfectly healthy before this and would have lived a much longer and happy life with us, but nope because of idiocy we had to say goodbye to him."
"I have never been to a cat specific vet with my guy. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! This place is fantastic, I love dogs, but there is no barking or chaos to scare your cat while waiting. Dr. Smith and all of the technicians did an excellent job handling my cranky senior boy. Diagnosis was quick and communication was by text/phone with clear instructions and follow-up information. Dr. Smith is very clearly a cat expert with a depth of knowledge that you could only get with years of experience. If you're a former farm girl, Dr Smith reminded me of my farm vets growing up. If you know, you know. That's the best kind of vet. No nonsense. You're in the right place when you see clients come in the door with their cats and the staff are excited to see the cat, barely talk to the client, greet the cat by name, and then discuss their personality/preferences. I mean that in the best way. This is a vet's office full of cat people. Pricing was very fair and less than I have paid elsewhere. I haven't used them for boarding but the facility looks lovely as well."
"Feline experts! I wanted to detail my review. My female feline was born in 2007. About 2017-ish she developed a horrendous cough. I mean horrendous so bad that if a human had it they would be in ICU! We took her to Banfield umpteen times. They would tell me to put her in the bathroom put the shower on steam and make her stay in there for a half hour. Her cough was so bad I would cry myself to sleep. Finally in desperation I looked for a cat expert. To my surprise we have a cat expert in Tacoma!!! He diagnosed her with Kitty lungworms within a half hour of her being in his office!!! The doctor said that he was receiving some kitties out of a certain area Milton, WA that were coming up with this rare condition. Well wouldn't you know where we were living at that time!!! Milton Washington. He put her on steroids and her cough went away immediately. When I adopted her she did have kitty herpes. So she was kind of compromised already. But it is 2023 today and she's doing great for an old lady. She does begin to cough again every now and then and I just take her in for a steroid injection and she's back to her normal self within hours. Tacoma Cat Hospital saved Sophie's life. I am so grateful for them!"
