"Very professional dancers are teaching the classes. Classes are for all ages and backgrounds. I only took one month class this summer, I found myself building confidence, dance skill and feeling happy after the class. I am so thankful to be able to find a ballet class that I love."
"Josh and Chris choreographed our first dance for our wedding. We had 4 sessions and had the best time - they were super patient with us non-dancers, really fun, and they adjusted the choreography based on our comfort level. The dance also didn't feel like a choreography as they made sure that we had tons of moments during our dance to enjoy the moment. Josh & Chris, thank you so much! I should also add - communicating with Sierra has been super easy since the first time we reached out! She is quick to respond and very professional."
"DCS presents a welcome addition to southend dance options — go take classes here! I attend Annie’s class on Monday mornings. Annie is a treasure trove of ballet pedagogy. She caters to diverse experience by cultivating joy and accessibility. She offers comfort to her students with outrageous humor and easily modified choreography depending on your skill level. All faculty here offer an antidote to the dance world’s potential for pretension. Co-artistic directors Josh and Chris are gem humans with inspiring vision for the future of DCS and its mission to create inclusive dance space. Managing director Sierra has made meticulous efforts to develop and champion this new dance school. You can expect prompt communication and stellar facilities. The former industrial space is warm & welcoming with plenty of parking and endless Marley. It’s a joy to witness this community forming and an honor to dance in such a delightful environment. Thank you DCS!"
"I LOVE taking class at DCS. I'm a regular in the Monday morning ballet class with Annie and it's the thing I look forward to every week. Annie is a highly skilled teacher with expertise in technique and style, but she still makes class fun and inviting. She was so welcoming when I first started taking class again after an injury and I've been hooked ever since. Come take class with us! You'll love it!!"
