"I gave a 2 but most experiences will be a 1 or in the negative! I've had my membership since I was born putting me in the 55/54000 member number area(30+years). This bank used to be personal and used to have people that were what seemed life long Staff as tellers. Literally went through high-school with some of the same people working there from my childhood. I don't know why, but 2018/2019 this bank has gotten to be a headache and I literally try my hardest to not have to deal with them as much as possible. If your lucky you will be helped by one of the 10+yr employees. Unfortunately they are scarce and scattered about. I'm personally friends with a former employee/branch manager who was one of the many people that made this bank great. Now this sorry excuse for a personal experience credit union that is made for the members benefit has transformed into something worse than majority of mainstream big banks. I keep my membership because I've had it so long but that's about it. All the new branches and the HIGH turnaround rate with tellers says it all. You guys lost what made you appealing which is PEOPLE THAT CARED not ROBOTS with the aame serial number that pretend to listen. Get it together"

"I am so disappointed. We joined this credit union when we moved to Seattle to have a CU close to us. And it was wonderful for years. But that has all changed. They got rid of their tellers - one of the main reasons I chose the old SMCU over BECU. They did so without asking member input and then continued after receiving extensive member complaints. They want to focus on "adding value" (I spent an hour on the phone with some so-called exec when this happened) - but who is getting this value? It isn't for members who valued the personal connection with our financial institution. This isn't supposed to be for-profit, but someone is making money off these changes and it isn't the run of the mill members. It makes me wonder if we are looking at another situation like the California CU that needed bailing out recently. Then this week I was on vacation with my husband and we needed some cash. I didn't have my checkbook so I went into a shared branch banking location (super nice) - they were able to access my account and see our balance, but when they went to withdraw my funds they got a message it was blocked by SCU. So I called and was told that Seattle Credit Union has had problems with shared branch banking for a month! They didn't bother to inform members that it was down and don't have a resolution date. Did they fire the competent people when they got rid of our tellers? We are looking to deal with the hassle of switching credit unions - Verity has more locations and no plans to fire their tellers."

"I’m not sure what the heck happened to this credit union. I have had a small business account for 9+ years, and I’ve had 3 car loans through them. I recently opened another business account and I can hardly believe how effing terrible the service and process has been. And here it is Monday and branches that aren’t permanently closed have limited hours or not open. I have international wire transfers to make for material deposits and I can’t get service. What is the point of letting them hold my money if they aren’t a value add? I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes trying to do business and they are the biggest road block I have ever encountered. I will be switching banks/credit unions after this. Ridiculous and embarrassing how this credit union has degraded."

"This credit union has the worst customer service I have encountered- it is nearly impossible to have any sort of issue resolved. Their phone support line frequently leads to dead ends, and their online banking is unreliable. Even opening an account was a long, drawn out, and difficult process! We will be looking for an alternative."

"If you are a small business who enjoys "tellers" Who make no eye contact and just point you towards their new ATM. Then only releases $225 of the $9,000 check you are trying to cash to you, then I think this may be the credit Union for you! Fun waiting for your hard earned money to be released to you in 5-7 business days. 2nd time within a month they did this, my fault for not searching for a new credit union after the first time."
