"DO NOT RECOMMEND! The man who is the owner was incredibly rude to my boyfriend and I. I asked to look at the jade to review the quality and test the jade myself and that angered the owner who was making rude remarks and comments about us looking at the jewelry/rings. We were looking to make a big purchase, possibly even an engagement ring but we LEFT to avoid giving him business as he made us angry and upset with his insults and insulations. Go somewhere else that will atleast be NEUTRAL in attitude instead of looking extremely annoyed when asking to look at the jewelry he is selling well behind cases."

"I was on my first trip to the US from Australia, when I saw this shop. There is an overwhelming collection of Jade stuff. Original jade is hard to come by in Brisbane. The owner was this very elderly gentleman who helped me pick a ring cos that's what I wanted. It's a beautiful translucent one that almost glows in the sunlight. On more than one occasion, I felt (and still feel), that it has almost magical powers to heal pain. That's just me. However this is the first time I observed this, despite my small collection of so called very powerful crystals. Something comes close to this might be the Auralite 23 that I got from Crystal Council website. I wish they sold online and overseas. I will have to travel once more to this store from Australia. Should have got more stuff. I really didn't expect this place to sell such beautiful and potentially powerful stuff. I'm just a novice and this was incredible."

"The store is quirky and junky. My favorite kind of store because that's when you know you'll find a treasure! I came here 4 years ago and was blown away by the selection of genuine opal rings. I took my time to choose one and at no moment did I ever feel pressured to make a decision. I came back again after four years for another ring and I was crossing my fingers that this store was still here. I was so happy to find that it still was. I made sure to make conversation with a Jenny. She's such a hard working, sweet woman. And I am so in love with my new ring. I had to take photos of the shop and us together so I won't forget where it is again."

"Avoid at all costs. We stopped into House of Jade today looking for a snow globe for my small daughter. We asked the owner for help. He just looked across the counter swore at my daughter, and told us we were just wasting his time. My daughter left the shop in tears. This shop’s poor score on Google is very well deserved. Enter at your own risk."

"Gem of a store, don't listen to the entitled tourist hatred in the reviews. Incredible collection of second hand and hand crafted jewelry at super affordable prices. Many different styles, lots of weird tchokis too. Has been there 40 years. Makes as many jewels as he sells, said the business operator Johnny "Cash" Kuo"
