"If you have it all together this might be the place to go but if you are a little kid still learning or older and need some extra assistance this would not be the place based on my experience. My son is 5 almost 6. These last couple years with covid there haven't been as many structured activities for the kids and my son has had some difficulty listening. He was so excited about karate but on the 2nd trial class a lady walked up to me in front of the whole class and said he didn't listen well enough to take classes there. But this was supposed to be a kids class. On certain days this class was taught by kids and combined with some adults instead of the kids getting the attention the need to learn. For sure my son didn't listen but martial arts can be a great outlet for kids to learn with the right schools and teachers. It's a shame we give up on the kids so quick and not even give them a chance. My son was devastated when I told him we couldn't go back. He said "well what if I listened better". He is an amazing kid, he just needed to be given a chance to make the improvements necessary to be in the class environment."

"I've been a student here for almost 7 years. It's one of the best things I've done for myself and I recommend Martial Arts to anyone. That doesn't mean it's for everyone. As far as concern over contracts go, I suppose I understand it to a certain extent; the uncertainty, the difficulty of trying something new, fear of failure. I've been through all of that and still love this school. I don't know what the practices are at other traditional schools, but a 6-12 month contract seems pretty standard. How different are gym memberships at franchise operations? In any case, I encourage anyone curious, interested or excited about Martial Arts to give a dojo a try. You can better judge a school once you've been there. Make your own decision. You might keep it for the rest of your life."
