"I was extremely happy dealing with Lisa at Port Townsend Rigging. I have a 12 year old Valiant 42 sailboat with rod rigging. I contacted Lisa about replacing my rod rigging because I had heard that this was essential given its age. After carefully reviewing where the boat had been kept and how the boat had been used, she recommended that we carefully inspect the rigging before replacing it. She even brought in a retired rod rigging expert as a consultant. The three of us spent over an hour on the phone going over the history of my boat and discussing what should be done to ensure that the rod rigging was sound. We agree that doing an inspection was the best thing to do. I was very impressed that Lisa's primary concern was ensuring the boat was safe while at the same time ensuring that I did not spend money needlessly. It would have been a lot easier and more profitable for her to simple replace the expensive rod rigging. I strongly recommend Lisa at Port Townsend Rigging. She goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service."
"It was a great experience working with PTR. They were very flexible and helpful in their support of my project as I was doing most of the work (pulling the rig, disassembly, spar work etc). The three jobs they did, in addition to the rod fabrication, where done very professionally and as scheduled. The standing rod rigging replacements they fabricated for me all fit the first time, looks and works great. I would recommend them for any rigging and/or spar work."
"We refit in Port Townsend 6 years ago and worked with PTR on our rig. 6 years and 2 Equator crossings and their work and advice has stood the test of time. Lisa is very knowledgeable and direct, as full time sailors we are responsible for a raft of skills and finding a first rate experienced professionals to give unvarnished opinions is just what is needed. Next time the sea picks up you have enough to do without worrying about the rig."
"Port Townsend rigging redid my standing rigging several years ago. I found them extremely knowledgeable and extremely honest. So I can't really agree with some of the bait-n-switch comments. My observation is that they usually try to talk you out of upgrades that you don't need. Anyway, after 8000 miles on my Tayana 37 the rigging is still running strong after several trips up the inside passage, a trip to Ecuador, South Pacific and New Zealand."
"I cannot tell you how wonderful these people are Lisa and her crew are the best. Cannot tell you how happy I am with their product, pricing, and knowledge about rigging. Thank you Lisa for all your help 1988 30 Ft. Catalina TRBS"
