"My initial experience was with a very polite, professional sounding young man. He was very willing to remodel my bathroom the way I wanted it done. The initial estimate was $18000. I did make a couple of changes to the plan no work was done and I purchased my own fixtures, paint, lighting, tub etc which should have reduced the cost. This contractor did not like me getting these items on my own I suspect because he could not mark them up. Three and a half months later he finally gave me a bid of $33,000 without explanation for more than doubling the estimate. Nor was he willing to sit down and modify the plan to fit my budget. Instead he kept the $2000 down payment I gave him which later he said was for design and plans but that was not what he said up front. It was a deposit on the entire project which he walked away from. Not happy. Cannot recommend!"
