Reviews
"The ancient university, which is 162 years old, with its beautiful architecture and cherry blossom alley, simply makes you immerse yourself in another world. We were there in April, it was a rainy day, but this did not spoil our impressions. We walked and enjoyed this beauty. There was a problem with parking; there were a lot of people. We parked near the shops and walked to the university. I am sure that even without this beautiful garden, the university is simply an architectural masterpiece, but the garden complements this ensemble with its splendor and tenderness."
"Although there is no sakura in July, the campus is still a good place to wander. Looking at all those buildings and trees, I can image how beautiful it is under a sunny afternoon."
"It's always a great photo opportunity. Nowhere to go to the bathroom, though (unless the library allows non-student entry? A couple of VERY FULL honey buckets for emergencies are available by the quad (gross, but still an option). Bring a picnic to people watch! Parking underground Suzzallo library gets full during cherry blossoms season, so prepare to get your steps in (wear comfy shoes)."
"Seasonal cherry blossom blooms make this place a popular tourist site during this period. Definitely worth a visit as the views are really beautiful. It could get very crowded however, especially during the festival period."
"Amazing place to visit in the cherry blossom season! IMO, it’s even more astonishing than some of my past experience in Sakura hunting in Japan! The cherry blossom here is just amazing, plus the surrounding of traditional academic buildings and a great big lawn. This is the first time I experience that cherry blossom with a much more Western architectural background, and it’s just amazing! It could be very crowed in the weekend though, you might want to plan ahead or visit in the weekdays to avoid the crowd. If you live in Seattle, be sure to visit this place!"
