"I sent registered mail from here and the male clerk that helped me copped an attitude when I pointed out him not stamping the paper tape seals with the round dater. Said he was going to do it later. Very suspicious. I hate doing business at the post office. But he did stamp the seals with a pissed off look. The Postal Service has gone downhill since I retired 2 years ago lol."
"They are usually shortstaffed and out, unable to hire and hold onto good people. The automatic machines are giving error most of the time and you can’t use them outside. They do have mailboxes. However, the lines are pretty long to pick up packages that needs to be some sort of redesign of the system so that people can go in and out quickly rather than a 45 minute wait Just to put a package in priority mail. The bright side is that the parking is free. They also have a drive-through dropbox where you can drop mail like envelopes to pay bills and stuff like that."
"Like to make up rules when mailing packages. Tried mailing a package overseas and told me I needed to redo my customs slip because letters were touching and not in block format. When I said that’s new the female employee stated it’s in the instructions. No the hell It’s not. Only says writing must be legible. Took same customs form to a different post office they said it was fine and mailed off my package with no issue."
"The lines are always very long and take to long. Workers have also been rude in taking care of situations. I send a package that was worth about $100 of goods and I had put the right address on the box but the worker insisted for me to use the self service which I didn’t want to but just went along with it. It turns out the worker put the wrong address on the package when they were directing me on the self service machine. The package never arrived to the recipient and someone took the package and everything was lost."
"5 times since we’ve been here in the last 4 months has our mail carrier for Rhode Island Ave misplaced our mail! Your office doesn’t close until 5 it’s 4:30. You could send someone. Out here to fix it. This time I am contacting my Senator and the Deputy Postmaster General. It seems to me that people who work there think they can treat us a certain way because we live on post in a low ranking area. We are people and our mail is important and private. The last time I called to report my mail misplaced the lady said “oh well you know the mail carrier is in a rush .” It doesn’t matter. Misplacing someone’s mail shouldn’t happen 5 times. It’s never happened anywhere else I lived , including Europe. I’m tired of hearing excuses from people who truly don’t care. I demand action and accountability. Because I know I’m not the only family this happens too. If I could give zero stars . I lost all trust in this post office here."
