"Nobody here actually does their job. They will put out a "final delivery attempt notice" slip at your mailbox on the day your package is due for delivery in good weather or bad, residential or rural. I've personally witnessed them drive up, slap the sticker on my mailbox, and as I'm walking to the mailbox to grab the package, they drive off. When I try to schedule a hold or reschedule a delivery using the instructions on the slip it always says "invalid or incorrect code" on their website. I believe this is because they can't even be bothered to scan the slip in to associate that slip to your package in their system. They're lazy, I'm not sure how nobody hasn't investigated this place with the number of complaints and how common it is for this to happen to people. Probably because they do so little of their job, there isn't any evidence they've done anything at all, right or wrong."
"If I could give them a -5 stars I would. Mark shows out for delivery on 2 items. 1 of the 2 gets delivered. Before it gets delivered, we get an email notice that 1 was attempted but couldn't be delivered. How are they coming separating through the PO.?. Then after 25 Minutes in line with 15 other people in front of us working and 1 person on duty they can't find our attempted package. "We will do what we can to find it" typical for this PO. Every time we go there it's a ridiculous deal with no end in site."
"Recently had a package stuck in a loop betwee three cities. It just kept going back an forth between Portland, Salem, and Albany OR. Rachel Hahn the Postmaster in La Center, WA was assigned the ticket when I called in a request to get it correctly directed to L a Center. She immediate closed the ticket and sent me an email saying it was "in transit". She didn't even bother to notice what was happening. I had to start the process all over again to get the delivery corrected. If you've ever tried navigating the USPS automated system you'll know aggravated I was. La Center needs new management. Mail service has been terrible since we moved here 5 years ago."
"I can't speak to the delivery yet, but the service inside this post office was the fastest and friendliest service I've received from any post office anywhere, and I've been to a lot of post offices. The woman behind the counter in the afternoon seemed to know her stuff well, and was friendly, professional, and efficient both times I have needed to go there."
"It amazes me that a postal delivery will not deliver packages. I am beyond frustrated with getting messages that 'Unfortunately, USPS ran into an issue when attempting your delivery. They will try again.' There is NEVER a delivery attempted. My house is a 30 second drive from the postal box. I feel the carrier is a lazy person who doesn't actually want to put any effort into doing their freaking job. It is hard to believe the mail truck is so packed with envelopes the carrier can't fit packages on their truck. Picking up packages at the post office wouldn't be such an issue if they were open past 5pm. The average worker doesn't have time to leave work early and head to the post office before it closes. If it were up to me I would privatize the US mail system and get rid of the US Postal Service. If I could give them negative stars I would."
