Reviews of Haunts of Richmond - Phantoms of Franklin
"We had an excellent ghost tour. Lee, our host, was knowledgeable and funny and shared wonderful (creepy!) stories over the course of our walk. Both Lee and Chris were so lovely and helped make our ghost tour the highlight of my daughter's birthday weekend in Richmond."
"Thank you for a fun, pleasant Haunt of Franklin Street tour that included the beautiful Jefferson Hotel, Linden Hall Inn, a VCU advertising building, the Richmond Library, home of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ellen Glasgow, and several more. Travis, our guide, was interesting and knew his stories! I recommend it snd plan to do the Church Hill and Shockoe Slip ones, including the tuktuk option."
"We had a great time! Very cool to learn some of the history of the famous Jefferson Hotel and nice to walk around the area. It’s not super haunted, which is both good and bad. Would love to try some of the other tours to learn more about our city!"
"Had a wonderful time on the walk with my service dog but I think it would be a lovely tour outdoors with your pooch too! I don’t want to give anything away so I’m just going to say that my guide was great at painting a lovely picture of what the land looked like way back when and the history along with inhabitants of homes and business (former… kind of). Personally I love these ghost tours because you get a history less that’s not boring and when someone comes back into the world it’s for an attachment so you get a personal speculation why they felt the need to stay which just grounds you more in the root of history and makes it much more memorable than reading a few plaques and remember a mere fragment. Kick me in the butt I forgot my guides name (starts with M and may Melisa) but I really wish I could take her for a glass of wine or tea time at Jefferson Hotel. She was great and passionate with tons of fun facts. Chris was also right there through text with any questions and also directions and restaurant recommendations. I’d do it again!"
