United States Postal Service

"They will accept packages from UPS ,amazon etc... But will not deliver them. They will no longer hold packages for even 24 hours. They will not notify you of packages left at the post office. If you track your package it will say "Held at Post Office, At Customer Request". Even if you want your package delivered to the your house. But again they wont actually hold them. They will immediately send them back. Furthermore, they apparently wont pick up the phone anymore. I called from 10 am-1130 am. I then called the Maple Falls post office and they picked up, were polite and helpful. They said they would email Deming to hold my package. I left work early to get my package. The new lady at the desk had no idea. She said nothing is here, we don't get emails and was very confrontational. I asked her to look again... It WAS THERE. It is very disconcerting that a post office can be this disorganized. Absolutely awful! UPDATE: I was informed that the new lady in Deming doesn't know how to use the computer there to check emails regarding delivery's. That is why she said "i didn't get a email," she didn't check it. Who is paying for them to ship packages back and forth? Huge waste of time and money. The Solution for all Glacier residents is to use Maple Falls as the Address even if it is considered Deming also use the Maple Falls zip not Deming and lastly enter your po box after your name. They basically said the Deming post office is useless. I agree."

"There are some very sweet people who work here but my neighbors had to make a page just to be able to contact eachother to get our mail from eachother because someone always gets the wrong mail. I received someone's confidential mail that was marked very important. Also some woman was very rude to my significant other when they tried to pick up their package. Sorry, sometimes things are too important to risk them ending up at someone else's house."

"I have had a po box here for over a year and more times than I can count crucial items Ive needed have been kept in back and not mad available to me. For example I have phone screens at the post office to fix my broken phone, they put a slip in my box on saturday even tho their were numerous available parcel lockers and no money owed. I now have to go out of town for 4 days for my daughters surgery with a broken phone because they were to lazy to do their job on saturday. This is a repeated issue. Avoid this post office at all costs. I am currently trying to report them to the postal services for poor service and bad package management"

"This has to be one of the best post offices. No long waits and staff is friendly, knowledgable and very supportive. I dont like how the USPS merged with FedEx and UPS where they now cant deliver to my house instead to the post office. The goal is to make sure I now address all my packages to street address then # symbol, followed by my PO Box. this trick was shared by clerk Shauna and it seems to work, no issues since. thank you Deming Post office."

"Recently a small package was delivered to that post office by fedx. It had my physical address, but not my post office box number. I do have an RFD mail box. Anyway, the package was returned to the sender with no notification to myself. Before, the item would remain at the post office. This post office is quite small--people know each other; we're neighbors. We've received mail here for 33 years with no problems until recently. There's a new Post Master in Deming; he is neither friendly nor helpful. --Everything is someone else's fault-that's it. Before his appearance this would not have happened."
