"Please remember to get confirmation of initial quotes in writing via an email. Was quoted a price from Alaska Auto Transport and was told that I couldn’t pay for it then, I needed to wait until they shipped from Washington to Anchorage before I could pay. Once the car was received in Anchorage the quote was almost $1000 more and they had “no idea where my initial quote even came from.” Had to pay the higher rate because the shipment was already transported, I wouldn’t have minded a higher rate but it just seemed shady to have to wait to pay and then they tell you the rate, giving you no other choice. I would have liked to have been given the opportunity to shop around rather than being tricked into the booking."
