"This is the best deal in town for a haircut or any other hair or skin treatment in town. The students have your hair or skin checked at every step with knowledgeable teachers. I've gotten fantastic haircuts there for more than seven years. Every time I've gone the staff and students have treated me well and they have always been professional. The only drawback, which really isn't one, is that you have to give cash or venmo a tip."

"Last year, I thought I’d had the best haircut experience at Aveda, and I thought it couldn’t get better. But on Feb. 29 the service and expertise at Aveda was just off the charts! After the cut, my very curly hair looked better than it ever has. I felt cared for and understood. The ancillary service, teamwork, friendliness, and competent procedures were excellent! I especially enjoyed the supportive and respectful interaction between Kassidy, my stylist, and her instructor. They went far beyond just creating a great haircut; they were informative, and helpful about caring for my hair at home. Kassidy was particularly good at explaining what products she’d use and why that product was the best one for my hair. I learned how to apply product to my hair at home; rather than just ‘smearing it on’. And, oh, I got myriad tips about my home hair care. (I’ve had a chance to incorporate these hair care methods at home, and they really, really work!) If I were to pick the best part of my experience, I would have to say the teamwork. Kassidy and her instructor were very respectful of each other; that helped me feel more confident about my haircut. I just knew it would be great. And Kassidy is a new student! (That makes me happy because she’ll be there when I need another haircut.) It’s amazing watching the whole Aveda team … from the folks at the counter, the instructors, and even fellow students stand together. Can’t wait till my next cut or other service. It’s a relief that I am able to trust that the service, products, and overall experience will be great."

"I have thought a long time if I should write this review but I wish someone told me the following before I went : Oh my god do not come here. Just pay for a normal salon! I used to go to beauty schools when I lived in Canada and the service was always fantastic. At Aveda Arts and science institute, my service took FIVE hours! And I had to leave. The next day I came back for a correction and it took ANOTHER FIVE hours! My hair still has not recovered and it’s been 2 months… Save yourself some money, you will end up paying for another hairdresser to fix this anyways…"

"I have been here multiple times mostly for spa services. The instructors and students have always been very kind. This last service I had Olivia as my esthetician. She was amazing! The instructor was also very sweet. Highly recommend!"
