"Cannot express enough how happy we were working with Pettit Webber Pacific P.S. updating our will. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. We HIGHLY recommend them!!!"
"We are so appreciative for Pettis Webber Pacific and how quickly they stepped in to update our estate plan when my husband fell critically ill and his future was very uncertain. To ensure our plan was in place prior to an urgent procedure where the outcome was about 50/50 that my husband would survive, the firm prioritized our case and even sent paralegals to our house to conduct our estate plan signing so that all documents would be in place should something happen during his procedure. The peace of mind this gave us and our adult children was immeasurable. To know that we had everything in place should the unthinkable happen meant everything to us! I am fortunate to know a few things about estate planning and what it takes to put a competent and thorough plan in place to ensure nothing will thwart our wishes for our loved ones once we pass. Karen and Becky (the partners) are the most caring, honest, trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable, and experienced estate planning attorneys you will find! What a lot of people do not understand is that this firm not only creates the estate plan to meet the client's desires and goals; when they do trusts, they also do all of the funding and asset transfer work so the trust is funded correctly and beneficiaries are all correctly updated to match the trust. What other firm does that?? Most firms do cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all trusts at a fraction of the cost and don't take critical concerns into consideration (like what happens if you DON'T die but need constant care) and don't include any funding or asset transfer work, leaving clients to do all of this on their own -- which most people probably don't ever end up doing, making their trust essentially worthless. It's a lot of work to transfer assets into a trust, and PWP does this every single day to ensure that once an estate plan is in place, everything will flow exactly as it should and there will be no hassles or issues for the family to settle the estate once someone passes away. Our estate plan is a tremendous gift we are giving to our kids and grandkids; you can't put a price on that kind of peace of mind! They have already thanked us for making our estate settlement simple for them. Thank you, Karen and Beckie!"
"Very disorganized. Couldn’t return requests in a timely fashion. My father’s estate was settled in 2019 after his passing, I’m now receiving a bill in 2023."
"I fired them for incompetence and failure to return calls in a timely manner. They had to transfer my power of attorney because I fired them. They billed me for that 14 months later. More incompetence."
"I had a terrible experience with this firm. I have a very simple estate and Pettis Webber wanted over $12,000 to set up a living will, last final will, power of attorney and medical directive. I got estimates from 3 other local estate attorneys and they stated they would charge anywhere from $700 to $1200 to provide these same documents. Also, be very carefully about going to the first initial “fact finding” interview. The Pettis partner charged me $800 for a 2 hour interview and she spent 80% of the time talking about herself, politics, etc. She was very condescending and argumentative. I had a hard time trying to squeeze in a question and when I did she would get this pained, sarcastic look on her face, like what a dumb question I asked and she would just brush off my concerns/questions. Also, do not bother filling out the 10 page packet that they will be send to you prior to the intial interview meeting. No one at the firm bothered looking at it including the partner that interviewd me. I thought we would be going over the packet during the interview but no one(including the partner) even bothered looking at it. For $800 I got nothing but a bill stating “2 hour meeting $800”. No meeting summary, no plan forward, nothing. Also, the partner mentioned that if I agreed to their $12,000 fee, that there would also be a $6,000 annual “subscription” fee charged to keep my plan up to date. She also mentioned that they may outsource my case to another firm and I must agree to that. My take on that is that she would get another firm to take over my case for a much cheaper price and she would pocket the difference. The only good thing I can say about this firm is they will serve you great cup of Starbucks coffee in there very opulent, fancy legal conference room. Even my 1 star rating is too generous. Look at the yelp reviews for this firm...barely above a one star. Very unprofessional, money grabbing firm in my opinion."
