Reviews of Williamson Law Group
"DO NOT hire Amanda Williams as a GAL. The bias and incompetence demonstrated while assigned to my sons child custody case was staggering. She displayed clear signs of bias when she took his exs word as gospel and was completely wrong about her. The ex has now dumped the children and moved out of state. Williams drug her feet in regards to the timely submission of required court documents causing my son to have restricted contact with the children. This problem also caused him to pay an additional six months of child support costing him thousands. She ignored details from his daughter’s counselor that were vital to the case. She also forced my son into supervised visits which he had to pay for that gained her a profit. There’s more but I’ll cut it short for now. In conclusion just like the old saying “ the man who defends himself in court, has a fool for a client” the same is true for anyone who hires Amanda Williamson. IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN! /———-/—————-/—————/————— Just got done reading the weak response from Williamson. In reply, I made it clear from the start that I wasn’t the client. Not appearing are any denials. I have a large folder of every document you and my son exchanged including the emails and texts that you absolutely ignored. Everything you did, or did not do is documented. You can brush it off by saying I wasn’t your client but that doesn’t change the incompetencies of you and your firm. I hope for the public’s sake you retire soon. Being part of the good old boy system does not relieve you of your obligations. Again-DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN! Apparently Williams is upset over someone telling the truth about their firm’s incompetence. I stand behind every statement made in the review and I challenge these clowns to a public discussion about their incompetence. I’ve said from the start that I wasn’t the client. You keep harping on that fact instead of focusing on the problem at hand which is your absolutely horrendous handling of my son’s case. Inappropriate? That’s the word that comes to mind when you call yourself an attorney."
"Absolutely horrible to have to feel like you’re forcing someone to do their job and even more so to discover they are following every social media account of the other party, even their dog’s, but have you blocked and claim to have never been biased. I wish I had seen her reviews sooner. You know you’re at the bottom of the food chain when you have to have your own paralegal give you a good review to balance out your account!"
"I received some of the worst service that I have had in a while. I can only speak the profound incompetency of Samantha Phelan (file clerk/admin assistant) at this firm. Managing simple emails, schedules, and follow up is something she is not good at. This is why I have given this firm a low rating. Ms. Phelan did not track my file, never sent me documents to review in advance of signing, made up excuses as to why she wouldn’t return phone calls and emails…basically she wasted my time and her bosses. Zero accountability, zero effort in finding a solution, low emotional intelligence (would become flooded and manipulative in conversation). As the client you will have to deal with her a lot. I would look for another firm that has a better trained office staff."
"I needed help putting together a will. Filled out their intake form and phone appt scheduled for a Wednesday. When appointment time arrived was "ghosted". Called and told "oh thought we contacted you, your appointment was changed to Friday". They hadn't contacted me and appt changed to Friday to which I agreed. Friday appt arrives, again "ghosted". Called several times leaving voicemails...no response. Sent emails...no response. The following week called again, voicemail. At this point sent email again asking for contact but also stated I must assume they do not want my business. Have never heard from them. Guess it's a good thing because if this is an example of how they work wouldn't want them to do any work nor represent me...avoid this firm! Update - Business replied showing they made 2 calls, however no calls were received nor does my phone log show any missed calls, perhaps because my phone # is a different area code and business did not use a “1” when they dialed? Regardless shouldn’t take a poor review to receive a response."
"I retained Amanda had a rather simple child support modification hearing. I spent several hours with her and her staff which I was billed for. When it went to court none of the paperwork was filled by her or her office. I had also informed her multiple times that I knew the opposing side was lying about significant amounts of income. She failed to request discovery information which would have provided the information I had told her about multiple times. She failed to bring up to the courts as well that the opposing side owed several thousands of dollars in arrears in a different states. It took her office 6+ months to finish filing the court paperwork and it to be finalized. Upon finally finishing it, I deployed with the military shortly after. While deployed Amanda and her office refused to answer any emails from one of her "clients" as the case escalated and become even more hostile because of the abuse and manipulation of the opposing side. It wasn't until I returned from deployment and walked into her office that she finally had to deal with "her client" again. Short version, this attorney had 0 clue what she is doing. It has been 5 years and this still drags out in WA courts because of this attorney's ignorance and negligence. If you have hundreds of thousands of dollars to waste, hire this attorney. If you want an attorney who knows what they are doing and will give you sound legal advice on your best behalf, find some other attorney. As this one will only tell you "my heart goes out to you" when you need a real attorney."
