"Went there to meet with my attorney this morning, didn't know I needed an appointment, as there's no alert on here, and nothing on the website, nothing on the building, so I get there at about 8:55 this morning, 5 minutes before they're supposedly "open". I watch three employees right at 9, go in, lock the door behind them, and leave the closed sign on closed. Then, about ten minutes later, another employee walks in, and locks the door behind them. I stand outside patiently in the cold wind, for 40 minutes, before someone comes to the door and asks if I have an appointment, asks for my name, and says give them a call later and set an appointment, because they're appointment only at the moment. I ask if there's anyway I can get in because I took a day off to come up and talk to somebody about my case, and how I'm already missing out on a days wage by coming up here, and I have to take another day off next Wednesday for court, and I really can't afford to take any more days off than I already have to. and of course I was denied. Kind of expected that, but still, my thing is, there should be an alert on here, saying they're appt only, and there should be a notice on their website as well as their door on their building that they are appt only, instead of just having the "closed" side of the sign showing."
"My experience was that my public defender did everything in their power to help with my case. Very genuine and willing to listen. My only negative is that they are just overloaded at their office with cases."
"I had to take a 5 hour trip back and forth to this office just to do some paper work that took 5 minutes. And they could have easily told me the outcome over the phone too, without divulging anything sensitive or important or without violating any of their internal policies or whatever. The clerk was rude and curt. He has the attitude of "you petty criminal. So you come here, groveling for some free legal advice? Guess what? You don't qualify.""
"Unprofessional. this office does not want to help people. They work with the prosecutors! Save yourself and or your family DO NOT use these public pretenders."
"Very rude attorneys. They don't follow through on agreement's. They don't take responsibility for what they say they will do. They work WITH the procecuting attorneys and do very little to actually help the client. Zero stars should be their score. Lady at front desk is the only nice person. The rest are cons. Steve McKay just wants to push paper across the desk, not help clients. Save your family don't use this office!"
