"Olympic high school is quite terrible. If you think about sending your student there, might want to think twice about that. Due to construction, we have quite limited space to certain things, and our lunch has been almost reduced to close similarity of elementary school lunches, especially the way students line up for lunch. Even if they do finish construction and fix the lunches, it won’t change the fact that they could’ve been supporting their students more, took as long as an entire year comparing to other schools as they could probably finish in a less amount of time, and had to squeeze the whole school (split into thirds of course,) into the auxiliary gym and feed the students odd lunches. Not only that, but they even throw away any extras they make. I know for a fact that there are many students who can’t afford lunches. Not just that, but the staff, especially the counselors, can’t manage their time well and mess up students appointment times and schedules, as well as providing small information for what to do. They had also provided student body positions to unreliable students that are almost well-known/shown in sources, but not acknowledging other students who had tried just as hard. One of the mistakes they had made was the Walk-Out around March. It is good to represent students who are bullied and have depression, but to have someone like our president to lead on the walk-out, when she herself had bullied a fellow student to the point where they had moved schools and almost suicided. Instead of using the same students for certain events, perhaps actually find people that are better to represent the event they want to make rather than using someone unrelated to such events. The same goes for Pep Assemblies, where it should be unneccesdary to block out exits to prevent people from skipping. Many don’t like them for a reason, and seeing people that we despise of makes it even worse. The academic rate of this school is as low, possibly lower than Bremerton High school. As far from what I’ve seen, many students either skip class or not follow instructions, ending most of them into at least a C grade wise. If we want our students to push forward to a better grade and future, the school should increase their reputation from being a school for people who are influenced by sexual contacts and drugs to at least an acceptable school in Bremerton. Most of the students here are close to miserable, especially those in LGBT+ communities as many don’t feel safe from people who bash on them for being a part of that community. Our school also gets threats at least 3-4 times a year, possibly more, and some being false alarms. We are supposed to raise our students to be respectful and friendly people, not future drop-outs. Call me an unreasonable person, but if we keep using the same people for the same events/positions as well as letting them go around doing whatever they want, possibly bullying the students that aren’t close to being considered “popular”, then our school will never be known for any accomplishments, but rather then being known for the many disappointing things Olympic has faced."
"Definitely not even close to being my favourite place. Everything is so plain and boring. I'm not a fan of the lunches. When it's raining, it floods. The atmosphere makes me feel like I'm not in a nice place. I can't wait to go to C.K."
"Great field home to olympic high but central kitsap also uses it for football and its also used for soccer for both teams"
"I have not attended, but a lot of students there think it is ok. It is very hard to drive near when students are milling around, and that is why it rates an "ok". ;-]"
