"I had to go to the ER for an issue per my GP, and they were AWESOME in the ER. I saw a couple different doctors and they were so nice and thorough. Then I was transferred to (I think) General Internal Medicine, and I cannot thank that team enough for how well they treated me. They were kind, attentive, expedient, and thorough. I have been in a lot of hospitals, and this was the best experience I have ever had, by far. If you can choose which ER to go to, I recommend Swedish Ballard!"
"I had to go into the ER for an injury. ER handled me well. All the nurses were empathetic and kind. They were responsive and handled me with a lot of care. Informed me of things as they were happening. My ER visit turned into a few nights of observation. In observation, I had mostly wonderful, communicative, and kind nurses. However, I had one overnight nurse who did not care at all about me. She made me feel like there were "other important patients" when hooking me up to an IV of antibiotics. Never checked my pain level unless I asked, did not monitor me as I took pain meds, got frustrated when I asked for anti nausea, barged into my room in the middle of the night and turned on all the lights (most had decency to knock and ask to turn on lights), was not very responsive when the IV machine kept going off (she conveniently left during shift change)....I was deemed "independent" and did not really call the nurse's station unless I was directed to do so. Everyone else besides this person were wonderful. The doctor I got, Dr. Schutte, was absolutely wonderful and made himself available to me in my situation. He was extremely informative and caring. Billing - atrocious. Hospital coded my billing wrong IMMEDIATELY to insurance which has turned into a battle between insurance and hospital where everyone is pointing fingers. Really frustrating dealing with as soon as I got out of the hospital and was under a lot of stress due to my condition and other personal matters. Hospital billing kept giving me the wrong information until I pushed the matter. Every nurse (save for one) and doctor I interacted with gave me good care. If I could give each person I interacted with a review, most would get 5 stars. 3 stars due to inconsistent nurses and billing."
"This place held my family member hostage for nearly five hours (exact relation with-held for privacy). I brought in a family member for psychiatric care, and they were immediately it in a blank featureless room that looked like a storage closet for two hours before I was even allowed to see them, and even then only because I kept bugging the staff. The family member had been asking for me and they did nothing. He was allowed no stimulation, not even a book. For two hours. in a psychiatric care situation. After we decided that this was only going to make the problem worse and tried to leave, they made us stay another three hours. Staff gave us the cold shoulder at every interaction, performed a bunch of unnecessary tests, and threatened to call security if we tried to leave. At several points they claimed to be super busy even though the whole area was dead and we overheard staff saying they were having a slow night. They finally let us leave after a doctor came in and did the Simpson's meme of walking in, exchanging three words with us, and then walking out. I am honestly scared of what would have happened if I had left my family member with them. I would give this place negative stars if I could, they are a threat to people's mental wellbeing."
"I always make sure to get there like a half an hour early because considering I only go there are like once every so many months it isn't the most confusing place to get into from the parking garage. I get lost every time I go there. It's ridiculous. I have never seen such a ridiculous place to have to get to. You have to go through here and then up in elevator and then over here and then over there and by time you get there. It's been 10 minutes. They really need to change that. I hate going there but I love my doctor"
