Reviews of Pacific Northwest Massage Academy
"After graduating from the academy, I passed the exam on the third try. Does this shows the high professionalism of the teaching staff of the academy? Undoubtedly! I came to study with minimal knowledge of English. My native language is Russian. I studied with the help of Google translator. And these wonderful people who teach at the academy and no less wonderful people with whom I studied and who helped me, despite the language barrier, were able to share their experience and knowledge with me. When I failed the exam for the first time, they were ready to help me in further preparation. Thank you for your professionalism and for your support!"
"Currently enrolled in the evening program and I am proud of how far I have come in only four months! Where I was confused and growing concerned by aspects of the curriculum, Suzanne listened to my struggles and we found solutions that have allowed me to stay on track for graduation. When I became intimidated by certain aspects of massage, Travis was able to confidently answer my questions and keep morale high. Both of these instructors offer a large amount of knowledge, wisdom, and transparency in what it means to be a licensed massage therapist and any student would be better having met either one of them."
"If you have a passion for helping others and thought about going towards massage therapy, I highly recommend Pacific Northwest Massage Academy! I’m a current student, almost done with the program and it has been the best experience. Walking into my first day Suzanne, Travis and Gail were so welcoming. Through out the course they have been supportive, knowledgeable, and willing to listen and help if I’ve had trouble understanding a topic. You can tell they have the biggest passion for what they do and it’s awe inspiring. I couldn’t have asked for better instructors and mentors. They are very thorough with the different modalities used in massage and I feel prepared to step into my first job when I’m all licensed!"
"Going to massage school was something I’d wanted to do for awhile. When I found they were offering hours that I could attend while my own kids were in school, that was the selling point for me! The atmosphere is welcoming and still professional. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and patient besides being fabulous therapists. I enjoyed the variety being taught; Swedish massage, eastern modalities and energy, pregnancy massage and deep tissue with safety always a priority. The cool thing is they are always available for advice and support even after you graduate. Continuing education classes are also offered and I’m excited to always be learning more and refining my skills. If I can do this at age 54, you can too! Go for it!!"
"I can't say enough good things about Suzanne and Travis, who are the owners and instructors. They both helped me alot as my instructors. They are outstanding teachers. Not only are they both amazing therapists with lots of years of experience but they both have the gift of teaching. It is rare to find both: excellence in the field and the ability to teach students how to excel while making things simple and interesting. They are both just wonderful people in general as well. Kind, hardworking, helpful, In a nut shell, they care. Good people."
