Reviews
"First visit today on Indigenous Peoples Day. The fountain has some algae buildup so it was hard to read the native names of rivers. Also had only one sign describing the Mantle artwork that doesn’t seem to be on display anymore. Seems like it could convey a lot more history despite the fountain’s beautiful design. For VA’s official Indian monument I’d say there’s room for improvement."
"This monument includes a spiraling plant bed. I like coming back to check on the herbs, to see how they change across the seasons, to see how they are filling in over time. Last time I visited there were several snack wrappers and cigarette butts littered around the monument so I took some time to clean up whatever I could find. The monument is not grandiose, but it does feel like the most important place in the area to me."
