"I was asked to use self service when bringing in an Amazon return. I politely declined. I was pushed further, they said, "Its pretty easy." I said, "You don't want machines to take your job do you?" The assistant manager said, "No one is taking our job! It makes our work load easier." I said nothing. She waited for me to go to self serve and I waited for her to be ready for me to come to the counter. She finally said she would help me. It took her 10 seconds to do the job. This is a service job, a service industry. Everything can be automated and everyone is replaceable. I've worked in service industry, I know it is hard. The machine is cheap labor, but nothing replaces good customer service or smiles."

Specifically, I had an unfortunate encounter with a customer service representative, a thin lady with short hair wearing glasses who was working at around 1230 pm. Wednesday, August 9th. Her lack of willingness to go the extra mile for customers, including myself, was evident, and I even witnessed her displaying the same attitude towards others. Unlike her teammates who consistently exhibit a sense of common courtesy and helpfulness, this particular individual's behavior was nothing short of rude. I kindly request that UPS consider retraining this employee, as her current approach to customer interaction is far from satisfactory and does not align with the level of service I have come to expect from your company."
