Wayside Botanicals

Wayside Botanicals is a unique school located at 3577 Aldergrove Road in Ferndale, Washington, just north of Bellingham. As a permaculture based medicinal herb farm and school, we are dedicated to promoting bio-regional resiliency and sovereignty while providing locally grown and sourced, high quality medicinal herbs to herbalists and folk medicine makers. Our farm practices organic and Permaculture methods, never using pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers or GMO’s. We also prioritize regenerative farming methods to enhance soil health and limit fossil fuel dependency. Our core values revolve around the three Permaculture ethics; Earth care, people care, and fair share. We follow a high ethical standard for wildcrafting and maintain diverse plantings of medicinal herbs, trees, shrubs, vegetables, and fungi.
